Hello and welcome to my website!

I started doing triathlon in 2007 and following a lot of hard work, I managed to win my age group at Ironman UK and qualify for the Ironman World Championship on the 13th October 2007 in Kona, Hawaii.  You can hear all about Hawaii by clinking on the link to my blog.

2008 is shaping up to be a great year with a further 2 Ironman races planned and I have high expectations for both! My site will take you through my upcoming races, race reports, and some information about me along with some pictures. You can also access my blog where I talk about the challenges of racing, training and working full time along with my busy international travel schedule.

I contracted viral meningitis in October 2004 and was diagnosed with Post Viral Chronic Fatigue (PVCF) in March 2005, something I have learnt to manage and live with. I went through many months of not being able to climb a flight of stairs, walk 100m or even contemplate staying up past 8pm. If you only take 1 message away with you, believe that anything is possible, you just have to believe in yourself.

I hope you enjoy my site.

Background

I come from a running background and made the change to triathlon early 2007. I purchased my first road bike in February 2007 and now wonder why I didn’t get into triathlon earlier! 2007 was focused on Ironman UK and winning a slot to Kona. 2008 is getting a podium place at Ironman Austria and a win at Ironman Arizona to qualify for Kona 2009.
